Did you know... unaltered female dogs have a higher rate of breast cancer than humans? The same is true for unaltered male dogs and testicular cancer.

ADOLESCENT TO ADULT DOGS
The foundation of Good Dog University’s puppy and dog training programs are
grounded in rewarding favorable behavior (positive reinforcement) rather than
punishing unwanted actions.
No two human families are a like; the same can also be said for your dog.
Each training session or program will be specifically designed for your
particular needs, taking into account your dog’s age, sex, breed, temperament
and of course, personality.
AN INDIVIDUAL SESSION
The individual session is designed to address a specific behavior or
issue. It can also be used as a one time brush up session after completing
one of the training packages.
DOGGIE PREP Program Length: 3-Weeks Age: 5 Months & Older
Doggie Prep is a three week program that can be used in a variety of circumstances, such as:
- Post Basic Obedience fine tuning: This is for humans and their dogs that have been through a
Basic Obedience program but may need to reinforce and fine tune their skills.
- For dogs with a few training problems that require a little more reinforcement such as: leash manners,
jumping up, barking, sit and down stay and other basic training brush ups.
- Problem Solving: involves issues that are not typically Basic Obedience oriented. I.e.: Adding
another dog into your household. Excessive leash pulling, incomplete housetraining issues,
resource guarding, excessive barking, bolting etc.
- For newly adopted adolescent or adult dogs: Establishing a support program to help with
the adjustment phase for both you and your new pet.
- A three week preparatory course for an adult dog with no prior training. This program is to ease
an untrained dog into the learning process, and develop their attention span so that they can proceed
into a Basic Obedience program successfully.
BASIC OBEDIENCE Program Length: 6-Wks Age: 5 Months & Older
A good obedience program involves more than just teaching your dog to sit or stay. It is the
backbone for creating a solid foundation between you and your dog.
It is important to establish ground rules for a young pup or newly acquired adult dog
immediately. This will actually help them feel more secure in their environment and will
make for an easier transition period.
In order to raise a well-mannered, happy family pet it is essential to teach your dog
some form of basic obedience.
Obedience training can solve most basic problems but only if you are consistent and can
make the time to follow through with your dog.
Each Basic Obedience Program is always tailored to fit you and your dog’s specific needs.
BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION Puppies / Adolescent & Adult Dogs
Unfortunately millions of dogs are euthanized each year due to behavior issues. Many of
these behavior concerns could have been improved or alleviated through a behavior
modification program.
Behavior modification addresses problematic behaviors such as separation anxiety,
incomplete housetraining, dog aggression, people aggression, excessive barking, fears
and phobias, destructive behaviors and other non obedience training concerns.
PREPARE YOUR DOG FOR YOUR NEW BABY.
It’s extremely important to prepare your dog for the arrival of a new baby. Programs are
developed based on your dog’s current obedience level. This training can either be a one
session, three sessions or folded into the Basic Obedience program.
